Founded in 1982, Steve Johnson and Scott Gray assumed control of
Waterborne in 1999, having both contributed to the expansion of its
flagship publication, The Waterborne LPG Report. As a family owned and
operated business from its inception, the tradition continues to this
day, with Steve and Scott still serving as captains at the helm.
Over the years, Waterborne has weathered many of the inevitable
up-and-down cycles of the energy markets. However, during the 1990s,
Steve and Scott had a vision for expanding Waterborne's coverage of
liquefied natural gas, and began focusing and monitoring LNG activities
in the United States. Soon after, the first LNG report was launched:
The U.S. Waterborne LNG Report was highly successful and was soon
followed by The European Waterborne LNG Report, and most recently, The
Waterborne Asian LNG Report. Continuing to expand coverage of LNG from a
global perspective, the U.S. Report is being renamed as The
U.S./Americas LNG Report, and now includes additional LNG news and
information throughout Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile,
and Argentina.
Today, both Steve and Scott continue to be hands-on in the business of
gathering and reviewing LNG and LPG news and information, largely
because they enjoy the research and market analysis, as well as
discussing issues, news, and trends with subscribers on a daily basis.
They also work with a wealth of trusted but reliable global energy
experts in a vast network of secretive industry insiders to produce the
coveted Waterborne LNG and LPG reports.
